Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between women's recycling behavior and awareness with an emphasis on controlling the impact of news sources. Methodologically, this research is among the survey research that has been done using a researcher-made questionnaire. The statistical population of the study was all female citizens of Gorgan, 400 of whom were selected as a statistical sample and were selected and studied using multi-stage cluster sampling. The validity of the instrument was confirmed using face validity and the reliability of the instrument was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α /0 0.759). Findings showed that the average recycling behavior of women is on average (3.353 out of 5). Analytical results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between recycling behavior and awareness with controlling the role of news sources. Also, the results of regression showed that a total of 36.2% of the changes in recycled behavior are explained by independent research variables. In addition, the results of structural equation model analysis showed that only the awareness variable has a direct and significant effect on recycled behavior. Thus, the research model was able to explain a social problem such as recycled behavior to an acceptable level.
